Today I started to prepare the plywood multilayer in original size 77×53 cm for the creation of a copy / studio of Leonardo da Vinci’s “Monnalisa” or Gioconda by Leonardo da Vinci.
I have occasionally found this copy about the same age as Leonardo did it from 1503 to about 52 years.
For the realization I will draw on photos of the original (very ruined) and of Monnalisa called “Prado” (named after the museum where it resides) whose author is perhaps Salai, that is Caprotti or the Melzi who were pupils and co-habitants Leonardo and that being better kept will help me recover lost details from the original. the copy of the Prado is very reliable since the X-rays confirmed the same modifications that in time have undergone the original, a testimony that indicates that the two tables were made at the same time and modified over time as they were gyms for continuous technical training and lyric.
